When the epic saga Odyssey of the 8th Fire reached Day 225 earlier this year, I chose an epigram from Homer’s Odyssey for the final entry.
As related by the Homeric bards, and as is still sung today, after finally arriving home in Ithaca after his epic journey, Odysseus speaks to his patron, Athena, the grey-eyed goddess. He tells her:
“We are a part of all that we have met. Yet, experience is an arch wherethro gleams that untravl’d world whose margin fades forever and forever when we move.”
